Hi! My name is David and I am a beloved child of God. In the 14 years I’ve spent in church ministry, and the last 5 years ministering to those in recovery, I have come to understand just how important biblical discipleship is to our spiritual, emotional, and mental health and growth. Our spiritual growth starts with the simplest thing, but for so meny it is the hardest thing to accept. Our identity. We are children of the King, princes of the kingdom, and co-hairs with Christ. It is in Christ we have our identity. This is our foundation. My hope is that all would come to understand they are accepted, significant, and secure in who they are as God’s children, because of the completed work of Christ Jesus.

I started other side of grace as a passion project, sharing what God had shown me through my own trials and hardship. After a tough battle with addiction to pornography, intense family trauma, and bad decisions, God pulled me out of darkness with one simple statement, “David, this isn’t who you are.” The purpose of this site, the devotional meditations, and the podcasts, are to simply share the chain breaking truth of God’s love with others. I hope you may fully know who you are in Christ.
